That Puts You On Top?

You'll be on top of the building trades working as a union roofer. With a starting wage of $17.80 per hour, you will be registered with the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. After your first year, your earnings will increase and be enhanced with the addition of benefits, including health insurance and a pension allotment. Upon completion of the Roofers Local #4 Apprentice Program, you will be awarded journeyman status and will receive a wage of $44.52 per hour, and the added benefits of an annuity, pension, and health insurance.

SERVICES

Pre-Apprenticeship Program

In the past, we have offered a ten-week Pre-Apprenticeship Program through the New Jersey Department of Labor, which aims at providing participants with the tools and skills for success in our four-year Apprenticeship Program. We aim to achieve continued success with this program.

Apprenticeship Program

Our Apprenticeship Program is registered with United States Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training and provides classroom instruction, hands-on training, and mentoring for success in the industrial roofing trade by achieving journeyman status.

Advanced Training & Certification

For our journeyman members, we offer further advancement and certifications within the field. These include; Qualified Single-Ply Installer Certification, Qualified Signal Person Certification, and Fall Protection Competency. We are also prepared to offer courses provided by the Research & Education Trust Fund.

ABOUT ROOFERS LOCAL #4

We have proudly served the industrial roofing needs of Northern, Western, and parts of Central New Jersey for over 100 years. We service the New Jersey counties of Morris, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Essex, Middlesex, Union, Somerset, Ocean, and Monmouth.

We provide union contractors with skilled and trained union roofer journeymen through our apprenticeship courses, who are equipped to handle simple and/or complex service calls, complete tear-offs with re-installation, and installation on new construction projects.
